For Better or Worse

I can imagine someone say "mine will be for better oh no enemy will put asunder what God has joined" The truth is I am no magican or soothsayer, neither am I a prophet but am definitely someone who says something the way it is. I attended a traditional wedding today and the brides mother made a statement to the groom
" my daughter has never given us any problem in her stay with us and I assure you she wouldn't with you" after that statement everybody started murmuring and making side comments which I knew the reason for that.

I haven't been married before but I have lived with two couples which fortunately are my parents. The lovely thing about them is they show you that marriage can definitely have ups and downs, highs and lows, good times and bad times and lastly better moments and worse moments but what keeps it going is the love built over years.

You are probably wondering "why the pep talk on marriage when we are still in the relationship stage? I will love to bring you back to the fact that every relationship to graduate into marriage must go true the tough moments to make it strong.

I met a couple who were high school sweet hearts before they were married. I asked them what kept them going? and the husband replied "it's the moments we fought during our relationships it helped us learn our most vulnerable and strong areas. So when it got to our marriage it wasn't strange." The wife added " Each day we learn new things that keep us through the worse moments"

Your relationship may be at a piont of trial but it's your duty to learn from that moment and build upon which will help you true the worse moments.

Am signing out for tonight but remember " without The Worse there can't be any Better"

Love you.

  1. Coming a bit from a biblical perspective. I know marriage work when we love our partner as God loves the church. As sinful and sometimes ungrateful and unfaithful as the church might be, it's his spirit of forgiveness and mercy that makes him not to abandon the church. I think true love has forgiveness as one of it's basic ingredient. We have to learn that.
