Wednesday's special- Finding the Perfect Man Gone Bad

I woke up that day with so much excitement, the thing is I had listened to a message a night before about finding the right man/woman. In my foolish moment I went on the search without considering that the man should be the one doing the "finding" not the other way round. I stopped at the shop right beside my house waiting for a taxi when an hyundai car pulled over beckoning on me to come close, as I was bent on not being ignorant on finding a spouse I went over to the car and to my amazement, it was a young attractive man with six packs I imagined I had so I drew closer to hear what he had to say.

He looked down at what I had on "in my mind I wished I had worn my skirt with a slit to die for" but instead it was my baggy jean and a top that said "am available". The truth is I didn't plan for the next statement he made. He boldly asked me in broad day light "beautiful how much would it cost for just one night?"
In my mind I searched for the right words to tell him but all that came out was "ya were" (I know that wasn't spelt properly but in yoruba it means "is ur head ok?"

That's how my search for the perfect man went on hold but rather I thought about remaining in the "waiting room" where mistakes become lessons and experiences of others become one I can build on. In the period of waiting he will find you.

Love you.
