MY FIRST TRAVEL EXPERIENCE 1
On the 30th of October I left Calabar to Lagos on a trip which was to set me on higher grounds. Lesson to learn if you have an agent booking your flight then make sure the time is relayed to you. Sunday morning as I prepared and packed up my bags for a flight which was to be by 4:15pm I got a bumper news that my flight was for 9:45 which meant I had to be at the airport by 8am. In the rush hour I got my things set and ready to leave. No time for asking questions.
Apparently going to Ethiopia was my first international experience although It Was an east African experience but all the same it counts as one too. It also counted as my first experience on air, it took the trip to lagos to make me realize that there is more to life than the comfort that Calabar offers. As it was my first I practiced the principle of observation which included paying close attention to where hand luggage’s where placed and how the belts was placed over each individual.
The second thing I did was to pick up the airlines magazines and safety instructions, I did this not anticipating a crash but as a safety measure. After 45mins and maybe more we were in Lagos terminus. I noticed that everyone were boarding the airports bus so I followed not acting as a novice and not also as an expert but as someone who was ready to make mistakes and also learn from them. When we got to the hall where we could pick up luggage’s I paid close attention to the first ten people, when it got to my turn I watched as my bags came right out and I picked them up.
