TANGLED (EPISODE 2)


Marriage counselling sessions were an eye opener for daniel and i. We got to express ourselves and tell each other things we had bottled up for so long. Talking about the affair was the hardest because it opened up wounds that just couldn't heal in  months.

Our marriage counsellor suggested we took a break from all the drama. So I suggested we travelled to Johannesburg for our second honeymoon just so we could get our mind off some things and start over.

Sunday after church while preparing lunch I heard a knock on the door, so I went to check who our sunday guest would be. It was my maid starring right at me with those eyes of "am taking everything from you". I waited for her to speak but all she muttered was " where is Daniel the father of my unborn" but really who says that. Lost of words I stammered just so I could say something but nothing came out.

I shouted out daniel's name as she pushed me aside to hug him. I was slowly loosing my grip in my own home but I waited to hear what my husband had to say about the pregnancy. He was ashamed and disappointed but he came towards me and held me close whispering "I am sorry and please forgive me". I was confused.

Before now I wasn't going to let the devil steal my joy but now it's complicated. I walked out on them as I ran to the room sobbing and crying as I knew the situation wasn't going to change. I was not going to pray for her to lose the baby or get in an accident. But I remember praying for grace to handle the shame.

I accepted my husbands mistake as he also acknowledged his wrongs and was willing to support her financially in raising the child. I wasn't sure what I wanted in a man any longer as my dream man was slowly becoming just a shadow of himself.

There are  lots of husbands and wives that have been tangled with their careers, jobs, businesses, tangled with extra women or men etc but the truth is the only thing that can keep a relationship is God, commitment, trust and love. Be all in for your man or woman it goes a long way.
