THE SUITOR'S- EPISODE ONE

It was barely fifteen minutes after two when I heard my phone ring, not long after mide worked into the office with a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates. Mide is a co-worker who placed himself on the line of suitors “am not bragging sha” but I do have them in their quantum. They never stopped coming once the chest became fuller and the back refused to give way “lol”.

 Shedrach was the church crowd control leader who was hardworking but I knew that he wasn’t the one God had placed for me, I remember the night after I got to inform the leader that I would love to be a member of ushering but mistakenly met him, he later got my number and details “it wasn’t  funny when he called to remind me to be in service by 7:30 and what I was to wear, I just couldn’t stop myself from laughing when I got to church and realized I got enrolled to the security unit. After the service I got to know the right unit. Days later Shedrach told a close friend that he liked me and would want to marry me “when I heard this I couldn’t stop laughing” (Don’t mind me, I usually get amused by silly things especially men who fall in love at first sight)

Bolu is another young gentleman who is very promising but feels he has to get involved in church activities just to get my attention “who does that”. I got a call on Sunday morning from Bolu asking for the direction to my church which was around my area. I couldn’t turn him down so I invited him over to church, after thrity minutes he was in church so I ushered him in as I was serving as an usher. During the Sermon I got calls from him asking to see me outside the church “when I hear peoples experience I never understand what they are going through with guys who stalk them but when it eventually happened to me I got the gist” I ignored all the incoming calls.

Peter is a self made man who doesn’t rely on anybody because he makes his own money and is concerned about what he can show off. When we met I was so stranded and needed a ride home not until he showed up and offered to give me a lift. I obliged because my house was not too far from where I was waiting. When we got to my house “I knew he’ll ask for my number so I gave him anyway not minding if he was going to call or not. The next day I received a call from him. “I was amazed and never imagined a man ordering me around” he simply told me to get ready in 20 minutes and wait for his driver who will come pick me to his office. I was totally dumb founded but I smiled and told him politely that I had places to be. I kept doing that because one thing I have realized in this life is the fact that we have the right to make decisions for ourselves and no one has the permission to boss over you.

  Abraham is fine man “when I say fine I definitely mean it “but the truth is that being handsome and packaged will not take care of you. “not like am looking for flashy cars and wealth ”but the truth is Abram is all about his looks with no prospects or plans for the future. I met Abraham at the Cinema “you wont believe it” I was on a date with a guy who was boring the hell out of me with his work and friends not even letting me tell him about myself. I was angry but I just couldn’t walk away not until this fine gentleman walked up to me with a killer smile and asked me to sit with him instead. I was confused but I did not wait to be asked again when I stood up I could see his hands stretch out and I quickly got the memo “no time to dull”.

Back to Mide “if you noticed I have nothing to say about Mide” he is the perfect gentleman not out to impress but gives his time, attention and chocolates “which is my favourite” he is tall, handsome, holyghost filled and dollar loaded ( exaggerating a little bit). Mide does not joke with his job as he has a strong belief that indeed time is money. I admire him for the principles he has and how he goes all out to achieve them but the single problem lies in the fact that he has a bad temper that sets everyone on fire when triggered. I wasn’t ready to make a mistake of a life time but I sure knew that making the right choice on a suitor was not my decision to make.
