Exclusive Fashion Interview: Paul Okwara AKA Royce Okwara






Salem University is full of fashionistas. We can't help but wonder what influences their sense of style and where they get their trendy clothes. Meet Paul Okwara, a graduate of SU, an Economist, a Christian, an indigene of IMO state who currently resides in Abuja. I was able to chat with him about his fabulous fashion sense.

Rosea: What does fashion mean to u?
Paul: Fashion means a whole lot to me, I see fashion as a stepping stone also fashion is my ability to combine colourful pieces and make them look good. In all fashion to me is being dapper😜

R: Do you intend going into the fashion industry full time or its just a side project?

P: It is a side project but I would give it full attention.

Rosea: How would you describe your personal style?

Paul: Well my personal style is something I take seriously because there is a saying that goes thus "Dress the way you want to be addressed, I describe my style as a style of being unique in my mode of dressing.



R: Do u believe in dressing up for no reason? Why or why not?

P: I dress to look good.

R: So u dress only for occassions?

P: Nooo I dress virtually for everything nt only for occasions lyk I said I dress to look good nt only for occasion.

R: Are there bands or celebrities that inspire your fashion sense?

P: Yaaaa well ma 1st inspiration to fashion  is my twin brother den Sme celebrities, lyke Jidenna and Oliver Cheshire.

R: Did the "Classic Man video" influence your dress sense like most guys?😃

P: Nope it didn't, But I loved his fashion

R: Where do you shop for the most part?

P: Okkk I shop for most of my stuffs online and also I pay people to get it for me. Shirts and blazers are taken care of by Michael Charles couture.



R: Do u believe in look-good feel-good theory?

P: Yes I do. I believe that looking good makes me feel good too.

R: Advice for your fellow fashion lovers?

P: Well if u love fashion try to keep up wit d trend, try to be unique in your own way and also dress not because of others but dress to look good and be modest in your dressing, finally always appear dapper😜
