DIARY OF AN AFRICAN CHILD- "All i want is to live"

Image
Hey you!! Yes you!! It's the little child in me calling out Please listen to me I woke up today not sure of what I was going to eat I got a message that you are tired of life I laughed it out till I couldn't because you had all I needed I have no chance of a good shelter, clothing, food or Education But you do yet you trade it for the things you see in the movies All I want is an opportunity to make a difference I never signed up for this but my parents thought out my life before I was born Yet you have the chance to be what you want to be Listen to the little child in me calling out to you My parents say taking life's  is for a good cause and I will be greatly rewarded But we both know its not true I lost out of a childhood you are running from I learnt how to use weapons from when I was young You can call what your facing now"Depression" or you running from life But I'll tell you my greatest fear "death" We live in fear each day...

THE CROSS

Image
Each day I look back trying to imagine the pain he felt As each torn pierced his side. I stop and imagine how much love one could have for Another showing a true definition of love. Each day I search for him because by his stripes we are Made whole again. He didn't die for just anybody but for a precious being as you. You are worth dying for, his crucifixion signifies a death to flesh And the desires of the heart. He cried out to God saying "oh let this cup pass over" He took the pains so we could never feel pain He took the lashes so we would never be hurt again He was humiliated so we would never experience shame He was ridiculed and made a mockery so we could preach the gospel In confidence. What love he showed us filled with passion As I race to him I imagine and respect his death for me "I Am a Product of The Cross"

HE CAME

Image
They say the king is the one who wears the crown But they set up over his head his accusation written, "This is Jesus the King of the Jews" and in mockery  They say the king will come to save and redeem but they p ersecuted him and nailed him to the cross. Many prophets, prophetess had come before him  Eyes could not see, ears could not hear, hearts did not Believe what was going to come.  It came like a whirl wind sweeping each one away. Men, women that lost themselves in the world ran,  Shouting and screaming out but that could not help Few were taken away but the remaining bore the pain. Don't be fooled or dece ived He came once and he is coming again with greater glory  and power.

An Interview with Chima Daniel- The Miracle

Image
During the Salem outpouring conference in November which is usually towards the end of the year. I was travelling from school to Salem church at Abuja on weekend basis to get the choir in Abuja ready,I was always on the road from Lokoja to Abuja. On the 12th of December 2014 going back to Abuja as usual to meet up with the Abuja main choir rehearsal I was almost at Abuja by Abaji the car was on speed and the front tyre pulled out after much swerving I blanked out. I was in coma from the 12th of december to the 1st of January when I got discharged.  I asked questions about the accident from the Chaplain of Salem University who ran to scene of the accident immediately he got a call. I lost my memory and was treated for the swelling in the brain"Cerebral Edema". Rev fidel the chaplain explained to me that when he arrived the scene I was already covered with dead bodies, he took me up and prophesied that I cannot die. He prayed for about 45mins after which I came back to life...

THE VOW

Image
It was barely six months after we met but it felt like years with her. The truth is I had never for once met her family because she gave excuses everytime I asked and I wasn't going to force  it out of her. I am 32 and most guys my age would be thinking of settling down and starting a family which is what I wanted for myself but she wasn't ready. In September I decided that we needed to talk about her and marriage but she didn't seem interested at that point so I waited for her to come around with her story. That day was the longest day of my life because I did'nt know how to console her. She had been a victim of sexual abuse while growing up which changed her perception about men. We talked at length but at that point I was sure she was the one I want to be with. Claire is a shy, humble, quiet, beautiful and can cook too "I mean a kind of meal that leaves you licking the tip of your fingers" she was scared of leting anyone inside her heart because she was ...

FOOTPRINTS ON THE SANDS OF TIME

Image
Sunday after a stressful journey from Calabar I said my prayer of thanksgiving and had my meal but that wasn't all for that day. The news of the death of our Former Pro Chancellor and Former Registrar with their son Joshua Ocholi hit me bad at that moment I thought a lot about things that was needed to be done in my life and the impact I needed to leave behind. Questions You Should Ask Yourself 1. Are you becoming who God wants you to be? 2. Have you fulfilled destiny? 3. Have you discovered Jesus? 4. Do you have a relationship with Jesus? 5. Are you where God wants you to be? 6. What is your present stand with God? These questions and much more came to mind. Now it was not about how much wealth I had or I needed or how much approval I got from the society rather it was about so much more. It is at moments such as this that we need to brace up and run checks of our lifes. My encounter with the Late Mrs Blessing Ocholi a couple of months before her death gav...

Freelance Sex

I first heard this word on sunday and I digged in more. I have come across freelance writer, freelance this and that but certainly not freelance sex. Now for those of you who are not conversant with the word. Urban dictionary describes such a person as one who is unattached to any boy or girl and can have sex with anyone whenever they feel like. Sexual freelancing is another attraction the devil is using to draw the attention of both men and women from their purpose thereby destroying their destiny. Now it's not just for the women only but also for the men. You may be a freelancer picking up extracts from people and giving to others. I was with a friend on valentines day and we got talking about ladies that are for the money. She told me of a friend she knew back in school who met a wealthy man that wanted having sex with her but only from the back. She finally agreed since the man was willing to pay up to 500,000 for a night as long as she kept her part of the deal. She kept ...
